2013 Rice Series

這系列，想要呈現生命中重要但抽象的觀念或情感。

選用「米」為媒材，除了米在東方社會中占有重要的文化和飲食地位外，

於私領域，因家中經營糧行，米成了家裡經濟的來源---我吃著米長大，同時米也把我養大了。

然而米被收割後，經處理成了商品販賣，彷彿是無生命的狀態；但事實上，米仍繼續活著，若未被吃掉、消化，米就會慢慢的腐爛、敗壞。

那麼，我們所認為---那些重要但抽像的觀念或情感---是否也有可能，有腐爛、敗壞的一天呢?

By Rice series , I try to express the important but abstract concepts or affection.

Using “rice” being the main material is not only the important status of culture and food in the Orient, but also is for personal reason .

My family run the grain store and I grow up with rice (economic and affectional)

However rice is gathered and be the product as the inanimate object.

But rice,the animate material, will decompose without being eaten.

Therefore, what we regard as important but abstract concepts or affection would be decompose even vanish someday?
